Q)Is the training program accredited?
|
| A) The
Training program need not be accredited. This is an industry oriented knowledge
enhancement program designed to provide Scientific and Technical Writing
skills. NTSCs programs are alreadywell-taken and industry endorsed. Click here

| Q) Are there a maximum/minimum number
of students per course? |
| A) There
are no such criteria as present. However, if the desired number of students is
not achieved the course would not run or students will be merged with the next
batch. There is no maximum. Batches are divided as necessary to ensure every
student receives the appropriate amount of attention.

| Q) Is it necessary to be from Science
background?
|
| A) No. You should be adaptable to
learning new technologies and you should be familiar with science terminology.

| Q) Do you have any flexible training
schedule for the working employees?
|
| A) Yes,
there is special attention for working employees (day/night shifts) and regular
students and they can have access to the class through online mode and can have
access to progress and class work online 24/7.

| Q) Can I hold the course and join
later?
|
| A) Yes, you can take a short break
and rejoin the training. Please see Course Duration.

| Q) Can I submit late application for
admission to the course?
|
| A) NSTC gives sufficient time to join
for its courses. However, if someone misses the opportunity he/she may be
allowed to join provided not much of the time has lapsed .In case, much time
has lapsed he/she can join the next batch. Program coordinator can be contacted
in this regard. In this case, scholarship is forfeited as it is applicable to
first few applicants.

assistance?

| A) Placement Cell of NSTC helps for
students in getting placements. NSTC will provide internationally leading
expertise and resources. Academic excellence and a willingness to learn and
work in an interdisciplinary environment are a prerequisite.

Program Methodology FAQs

| Q) Prior computer qualification is
necessary to pursue this course?
|
| A) No, prior computer qualification
is required but knowledge of basic computer operations are required , ability
to communicate in English is required. Training on Technical Writing Tools will
be given online

| Q) What software/hardware do I
need for this course |
| A) Generally the course requires: a
computer, broadband (128 kbps or greater) connection,CD-ROM Drive
|
| Q) What if I dont have a computer at
my place?
|
| A) You can go to a cyber caf in that
case.

| Q) How much time do I need to devote
for this course?
|
| A) We suggest at least 5-6 hours per
week for you to have a good grade and understanding about Technical writing.
Although this will depend on things like your learning ability, your reading
and writing speeds, your interest in wider reading. There are leisure readings
and web links for knowledge enhancement.

| Q) Are you providing any course
material for the trainees? |
| A) Yes, every participant enrolled in
the course gets printed books along with softcopy (CDs) of the required
material.

assistance would be provided?
|

| Q) Do you have any examination
center?
|
| A) No. Mid-term Assessment will be
web-based. Final assessment can be sent in the form of a project report. Based
on the evaluation of these assessments students will be graded and
certification will be provided.

| Q) How would the student be
communicated regarding the assignments, chat sessions and other activities?

| A) The assignments, chat sessions,
exercises or question papers, other relevant information and all the important
administrative circulars etc. are provided to the candidates online/ offline.

Cerification/Evaluation FAQs
|
| Q) Please let me know the evaluation
basis i.e the tests/exams undertaken for evaluation.
|
| A) Evaluation will be based on
mid-term assessment and final assessment. Mid-term Assessment would be
web-based. Final assessment can be sent in the form of a project report. In
addition to this, regular quizzes, assignments will be given which will have
certain weight age in the final evaluation.

| Q) What is the Grading Criteria of
the assignments?
|

| Q) What is the mode of examination
for students from out side India?
|
| A) Regarding examination for the
students in India and outside India, This particular course does not have
examination students have to write a paper on the subject mentioned or as per
the student choice and submit to NSTC by post , based on the evaluation of
these papers students will be graded and certificates will be provided to
students .
