These Programs are for those who are interested in the progressive and rapidly
expanding fields of Nanotechnology on one hand, and the Technical Writing, on
the other. Programs are designed to meet the interests/ requirements of all
potential general to specialist participants. In addition, these programs
provide a comprehensive insight to the participants for making an exciting and
rewarding career in these globally hot areas

| A.
Nano Technology Sensitization Program |
|
|
|
As the title indicates, this program aims to make the participants aware of the
existence of this enabling technology, its basics- introductory account, and
the present/ potential applications areas.
It also attempts in exploring and generating timely interests in this next
generation technology and discuss about the job market and the career
opportunities.
The program commenced in December 2005. At present the program stands in its
13th batch and around 2000, including a number of international participants
have already participated in this program.

Industry Program in Nanotechnology and Integrated Program in Nanotechnology |
|
|
|
Inspired from the success of Nano Technology Sensitization Program, based on
feedback on an urgent need, and assessing the trend of present and future job
market, the advanced programs viz. Industry Program in Nanotechnology,
Integrated Program in Nanotechnology have been launched in February 2009.
These programs are designed to meet the requirement of the general as well as
the specific participants- professionals representing various sectors of
institutions of higher learning and the industries.
Interestingly the Integrated Program in Nanotechnology caters to the requirement
of the participants who are fascinated with this enabling technology, and eager
to cover from introductory to advance level of learning.

Scientific & Technical Writing |
|
|
|
In the current information age, coupled with rapidly growing domains of science
and technology, quite implied modernization of society and the inevitability to
use and reap the benefits of the same, this all demands the learning and
improving the writing skills in general and the technical writing (implying
scientific subjects) in particular.
This course is launched recently in February 2009 by the NSTC evaluating the
urgent need to initiate a program in such an allied but quite hot and well
demanding career option
