The modules include online lectures and tutorials, and
are assessed through practical work, written examinations, case studies,
essays, presentations and tests. These modules provide the 'tools' required for
the group and individual projects.
The elements of the course are assessed as follows:

Mid-Term Assignments : 20%

Final Online Examination : 30%

Individual project: 50%
The science of manipulating atoms and molecules, which
is called nanotechnology, offers a wide opportunity to many
industries by providing improved materials that are more versatile
and have better chemical, mechanical, physical and thermal performance
characteristics.

Project Work
The individual research project can be either
industrial or NSTC backed. Students select the individual project in
consultation with the Course Coordinator. The project provides
students with the opportunity to demonstrate independent research ability, the
ability to work within agreed objectives, and meet set deadlines.
