harness the benefits of advances in areas such as Nanotechnology, advanced

Nano
Technology Sensitization Program is a Distance learning course in which
Practical aspects of Nanotechnology and Project work is blended to make it a
truly knowledge oriented course.
All
students will provided Nano
sensitization Kit specially prepared for this program and developed by NSTC.
There
is no contact center for this course but students will get online web based
assistance on daily basis for there problems. CD's will be provided to all the
students to give them Multimedia and skill testing assistance.

will I do Practical OR is there any practical work involved. In this course? |

course is designed in such a way that it has no requirement of any practical
work during the course. Students can do assignment or test their skills at
their own place which will involve
assignment evaluation and assessment questions and answers which have to be
answered by the students and used for reference , papers written for
certification should be returned back to NSTC for evaluation. Students can send
their research work or articles or project work for publication which will be
evaluated by Nanotechnology experts from Industry and then suitable projects
will be published in the " NanoTrends " Journal.

you have any
study center and exams center?
|
|
This
is a Distance Learning program; it does not require assistance of Local study
centre.
For any queries related to the studies, there are dedicated faculty which will
answer your queries through web based interaction. This particular course does
not have examination. Students have to write a paper on the subject mentioned
or as per the student choice and submit to NSTC , based on the evaluation of
these papers students will be graded and certification will be provided . Based
on the performance top three students will be awarded Gold/ Silver/ Bronze
medals.

is the scope to this with respect to a chemical engineering, as i am myself a
chemical engineer, and would it be easy to cope up with this? |
|
As
you must be knowing Nanotechnology is the hottest emerging area and it takes
inputs from most of the sciences including the chemical sciences as chemical
sciences are the basic sciences which is the building block of all the things
and is also the base of pharmaceutical drug development and new molecule
research, hence if you are interested in drug development and new molecule
research this field could be of immense importance to you.
Although the subject area is demanding but as you are already an engineer so I
suppose you can handle this course.

Technology Sensitization Program is a career advancement program and there is
no educational qualification requirement or age limit for applying this course
any body and every body is eligible to apply and join the program.

Would
take much of your time, would be best if you can handle both. There is no
restriction from NSTC for joining any other course.

it necessary to have a Computer and internet connection for this course? |
|
Interaction
with the course facilitators be on case by case basis, but to solve most of the
problems and to submit your queries one should have access to internet. NSTC
will provide lot of resources to its students which will be very useful for
them in future too.

No,
details of the paper to be written along with guidelines would be provided to
the student , they have to submit the same in stipulated time for assessment.
